And also what are some good workout plans and diet tips for this? Thanks

Is Mike Geary's Avalanche Ski Training worth the money? We try it out and tell you the truth of whether it works or not.

If you’re a regular skiier, you know the kind of pain that can shoot through your legs after even one good long run from over 2,000 feet. I’ve had times where the pain has prevented me from going back out on the slope for the rest of the day, which is a huge disappointment.

Chances are, if you’ve experienced that kind of pain, you’ve gone looking for exercises that can build up your legs and stamina. (That’s part of why I developed this website!!!!!)

One of the most popular ebooks you’ll find on the internet about ski exercises is Avalance Ski Training by Mike Geary. The book promises that “you’ll develop rock-solid legs and abs that will make it easier for you to ski for hours on end without pain.”

Initially, it seemed like a lot of hype to me. After all, I’d read these kinds of books before, and I’m a pretty good skiier, and they rarely have delivered on their promises. So, I didn’t think I would learn anything new. And, I wasn’t sure if it would really be worth the money. But, to be fair on this site, I felt I had to review it for you. So I bought it.

I started following the recommended plan of doing the routines 3 to 4 days a week. I did my ski exercise routines on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, after work at home.

There were over 30 exercises, just as promised, and they were grouped into special combinations which I could choose based on my abilities and fitness level. Yes, I knew some of the exercises he promotes in the book, but there were lots of new ones I had never seen or tried.

I chose some of the more “advanced” routines because I consider myself a highly advanced skiier (not an expert, but I go out regularly and can take on some bigger runs with confidence). The instructions were clear and easy to follow and the pictures helped.

The result? Yes, I was sore for the first week. The exercises really did force me to work muscles a little harder than I was used to, and the burn actually felt pretty good. After the second week, I was feeling really good and my legs really did feel “stronger”.

After three weeks, as promised, I was done prepping for my next trip to the slopes. I was headed to Vermont to ride Jay Peak and knew I this would be the ultimate test.

I have to say it was the best skiing I ever did. At the end of my first run from 2,300 feet, I didn’t feel as exhausted as I had earlier in the season, and I took the lift back up and did two more runs. I honestly didn’t feel as worn out as in the past, and I attribute that to my preparation with the Avalanche Ski Training program.

Is this the “the best ski exercise training program” on the market today? That’s a pretty bold claim. But, I will say, Avalanche Ski Training WAS really good and it really helped me bulk up my legs and gave me a stronger back. So, yes, it was good and worth the money.

If you’re still not sure about buying his book, take confidence in the fact that Mike does have an 8-week 100% money back guarantee on the book, so that gives you enough time to try it out and see if it works for you.

I recommend Avalanche Ski Training to anyone who wants to improve their abilities on the slopes, whether downhill skiing, moguls, or even cross-country. It worked for me, so I’m pretty sure it will work for you!

Click here to visit the Avalanche Ski Training website!

After you have chosen the destination for your ski vacation, what's the best way to pack? Packing for a ski vacation can be challenging, specifically when you contemplate how much gear you've got! Consider this: skis, ski poles, ski boots, insulated jackets, ski gloves, hats or ski helmets, ski goggles, and socks. Take these 5 strategies to heart for packing well.

One of probably the most fulfilling and enjoyable matters to accomplish as an exclusive holiday is to plan a ski vacation throughout the cold winter months. There’s nothing like picking a special trip to a far-off vacation spot and skiing the slopes in an entirely new atmosphere. You will challenge your current skiing capabilities, discover great new spots, and encounter fantastic folks!

After you’ve decided on your desired destination, the next aspect to consider is preparing what you’re likely to wear. Packing for a ski vacation could be challenging, especially when you contemplate how much gear you’ve! Consider it: skis, ski poles, ski boots, insulated jackets, ski gloves, hats or ski helmets, ski goggles, and socks. Here are five ideas for packing strategically.

1.First, make sure you pack all your necessary ski equipment! When flying, pack your boots and poles in an airline-approved travel bag. You can buy these online if needed. A ski bag is developed to hold your ski poles and skis and keep them protected on the flight. Boots which are not encased need to go as a carry-on. Naturally, if you are driving, just be sure to load every thing within the car!

2. Select what you’ll wear while skiing! Just how much you pack will vary on how long you might be planning to vacation.Pick some base layer clothing and some mid-layer clothing. One or two of every per day is about proper. Remember to pack your ski jacket and pants, too! Be certain to bring a couple of changes of clothing, since you might get wet.

3. Pack additional attire you propose to put on when not skiing. Try to remember knitted clothing, down jackets, and boots you’ll be able to wear around town.

4. Keep in mind your accessories! Bring at least two pairs of ski socks. Pack your ski helmet, a couple of pairs of gloves, and your goggles. Keep in mind sunscreen, too!

5. Pack your paperwork! If you are planning a destination ski trip, it’s a great concept to purchase your lift tickets, lessons, or rentals ahead of time. Be positive to bring all of the appropriate paperwork, and keep in mind your hotel reservations and plane tickets, too!

Despite the fact that we’ve itemized everything you ought to feel of packing you shouldn’t overdo it. Chances are extremely good that you will be able to buy anything you overlook to pack once you might have reached the slopes.

Skiing is one of the most enjoyable activities you could do together with your loved ones however it is also considered to be 1 of the most highly priced vacations to take. Remember that proper planning and packing will make for an excellent time on the slopes. Get pleasure from your trip!

For far more data about packing for a ski trip, be certain to check what the destination resort recommends, too. If you are going to rent equipment, be conscious of ski pole sizing before you choose to take your own skis and ski poles. Equipment varies widely and you want to be positive to enjoy your vacation!
