Improve your skiing and carving skills with bobby’s tool box exercises. During this exercise you will have to low your stance and focus on your lower body to direct your skis from turn to turn. Thank you for watching.

I have been plagued with head, neck and arm pain since I was a young boy. Both of my parents have the same neck problems as does my sister. I want to learn how to try and reverse the kyphosis and regain my cervical lordotic curve. I worked and played hard and ruff growing up, and have been paying the price all along the way. From around age ten I started to do work that a growing, developing child should not be allowed to do or required to do. Too much weight, not enough rest, poor nutrition, bad matress, football 7 years, wrestling, track, baseball, surfing, skiing, etc. My pain is becoming progressively more intense every year and my ability to do many of the things I enjoy is rapidily fadeing. I have a pathophysiologic fusion at C6C7 and nearing fusion at C5C6. I am heading for a solid continual kyphosised cervical BONE. My goal as a physician myself is to research every aveneu possible prior to surgical intervention. I want to try and reverse this already advanced problem to as near normal as possible. I am committed to learning the proper techniques for stretches and muscle building to overcome and actually reverse kyphosis and restoring the natural lordosis. I will have to have an osteotomy at the C6C7 and C5C6 pathologic fusion to allow me to regain lordisis. But before I get to surgery I want to at least be as physically prepared as possible. If I am sucessful then I can help others with the same problem. I am looking for a state of the art physical therapy forum or individual that can provide written instruction for me to follow. way of learning these techniques, with diagrams, graphs, pictures, statistics, and any additional forms of informing me how to do these stretches and exercises while stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq, for the next 3 years. Please help me in my endevor and I will help others.

My stepson is out of shape and a bit overweight. He is having a hard time with skiing and I think it’s partly because he’s out of shape. Are there any exercises that he can do to help him gain some more strength? He’s a great kid and I know that he will do them. He just needs some guidance.
Thank you for the advice. It’s kind of hard to ride a bike now but he has been in the summer. He’s been playing soccer and baseball as well. We can take him swimming the weekends we have him. There is an indoor pool at the club we belong to. I’d love to cut out the junk but that’s not a possibility because his mom gives him whatever he wants. He won’t eat otherwise so I see why she does it. But maybe we can work on it gradually as he’s not that stubborn. We can definitely do squats. I’ve been getting him off the couch when he plays the wii game. He’s figured out how to move as little as possible. I’ll keep on him. He does listen to me.
I like the indoor sports thing and will suggest it. I think he would enjoy it too because he seemed to have fun with soccer and baseball.

What single piece of exercise equipment, to be kept behind the couch, (there is a 4 foot space between couch & wall), would be most efficient at lowering blood pressure & blood sugar. Oh & it must be simple to use for the inept, so don’t suggest rowing machine we are not that coordinated.
We can walk about the neighborhood so I don’t think a walking machine would be most efficient use of space or money.
Should it be the stairs, (non in my home), that skiing thingy? Or something else?
This is to lower blood sugar & blood pressure, losing weight is secondary concern.
