Welcome to Ski Exercise Routines!
Welcome to my site about ski exercise routines. I’ve been a skier ever since I was 5 years old. My whole family is very outdoor oriented, so I grew up skiing every winter. Of course, at the time, we lived in Southern Wyoming and just about everyone skis there!
Over time, I’ve learned some great workouts that really help build your leg strength so that you can both downhill and cross-country ski for longer periods of time. On this site, I plan to share some of my favorite skiing exercises with you. I also know of some really good books and training materials that can help you become a better skiier, too.
For example, you may already know that alpine skiing is not an aerobic activity in the way that cross-country skiing can be. But, let’s not fool ourselves, right? A fast run down a good mogul field will get your heart really pumping! Well, given the difference in types of skiing, you should really wrap your workouts around what you are trying to accomplish as a skiier.
The most important aspect of skiing is not your poles, or skis, or boots, or bindings, or clothes! It’s your personal level of fitness to be able to handle the heart-pumping adreneline! So, browse around the site and I hope you find some good information, and some good ski exercise routines that improve your overall fitness for the outdoors!
